Charles F. Doran is Andrew W. Mellon Professor
of International Relations at the School of Advanced International Studies,
Johns Hopkins University. He has innovated new approaches and techniques
in the analysis of political risk a field he has been involved in for many
years. He has done risk assessment for firms in industries as diverse as
energy, banking, and manufacturing. He has undertaken studies of political
risk in Asia, Africa, North America, South America, and the Middle East.
He isdirector of the Theory and History sub-field of international relations.
He likewise directs the Center of Canadian Studies. He is a Senior Associate
at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (CSIS) and he is a
member of the Council on Foreign Relations. The January, 2003 issue of the INTERNATIONAL POLITICAL SCIENCE REVIEW is devoted entirely to Doran's power cycle theory at the interface of economics and politics. |
| Roberto Dondisch, having written widely on Mexico, does
political risk analysis for a number of firms. Very familiar with entrepreneurship
and management, he is currently finishing a Ph.D. dissertation on an assessment
of the comparative success of private foreign investment in highly risky
political environments. A graduate of Georgetown University, he will receive
his Ph.D. from the School of Advanced International Studies, Johns Hopkins
University, in 2004. |
