GRA Books in Academia
California State Polytechnic University, Pomona Dr. Jerry Rogers, Professor, Management and Human Resources Department, College of Business Administration, has been teaching an undergraduate course, MHR 332, "Assessing International Business Environments" for the past twelve years. He has been using Mexico and Japan as an extended case study and employing various methodologies in the analysis of business investment decisions of industrial sectors. Beginning in January 1998 he used Russia and the Central Asian Republics as extended case studies. This course uses GRA Electronic Books in instruction.
This course was completely revised for instruction in Spring 2001 and incorporates extensive Internet features including WebCT. A risk assessment project on in industry sector in Russia or one of the Central Asian Republics is a major course requirement. It is planned to offer this as an online MBA course in 2003-4. Dr. Rogers also teaches this course on Cuba and an undergraduate version is planned for Spring Quarter 2004 and a graduate version in Summer 2004.

California State Polytechnic University, Pomona Dr. Jerry Rogers also instructs a graduate course, GBA 620, International Business. While this is a survey course on international business the major course requirement is a country risk assessment utilizing a perscribed format. The student analyses a country of choice and an industrial sector within that country to prepare a detailed assessment for the corporate CEO.
This course has been completely revised for instruction in Spring 2001 as an on-campus course and in Summer 2001 as an online, off-campus course in the Professional MBA program. It incorporates extensive Internet features including WebCT as well as use of GRA Electronic Books in instruction.

Monterey Institute of International Studies Dr. Harvey Arbelaez instructs IM 620 Country and Political Risk Analysis. The last iteration was Fall Term 2002.University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Jean-Marc Blanchard instructs the PSCI 498-640 Political Risk Analysis I: Concepts and Theory class at the graduate level. The course uses renown works on political risk management, class discussions, and practitioners in the field to address five key questions, which may be viewed on the course syllabus:

University of Pennsylavania. Dr. William Murphy also instructs INTR 250 Political Risk Analysis at the undergraduate level. Using a university grant this course is well supplemented with authoritative guest lecturers in the field.
